Malaysia Premium Region Plan Update
When we started building Evoxt in Malaysia, our goal was simple: to offer the best possible VM experience in Malaysia, with the greatest hardware, greatest network quality, and best pricing.
That goal has not changed.
Over the past few years, we have continued investing heavily into the Malaysia Premium Region, including our recent China direct-line upgrade. With this upgrade, many routes to China’s three major networks are now seeing latency around 80~100ms, and the feedback from customers has been extremely positive, and we truly appreciate the support.
We are genuinely proud of what our home region, Malaysia, has become. The performance, network quality, and pricing have reached a point where many customers have told us it feels almost too good to be true.
But maintaining this level of quality comes at a real cost.
For a long time, we tried our best to absorb those costs ourselves. We kept prices unchanged where possible, significantly reduced margins, continued using the best hardware, and absorbed rising electricity and network costs instead of passing them on to customers.
Unfortunately, after the latest round of hardware cost increases and the much higher bandwidth cost from the big 3 China network upgrade, the current pricing and traffic allocations are no longer sustainable.
The May 1 bills made this very clear to us.
Because of that, starting today, Malaysia Premium Region plans will be adjusted.
The VM-0.5 Malaysia Premium plan will be increased to $3.49/month.
Other Malaysia Premium Region plans will receive updated monthly traffic allocations.
These changes apply only to new deployments.
Existing Malaysia Premium Region VMs will keep their current pricing and traffic allocation. The new pricing or traffic allocation will only apply if an existing VM is upgraded, downgraded, or redeployed.
We understand that price and bandwidth changes are never pleasant news. This was not an easy decision, but it is necessary for us to continue offering the same level of hardware quality, Malaysia network performance, and China direct-line connectivity that customers expect from Evoxt.
Thank you for supporting us, giving us feedback, and choosing Evoxt. We will continue doing our best to make the Malaysia Premium Region one of the best hosting experiences available in Malaysia.
Regards,
Alvan
